Some tips to write an academic writing of your personal reflection



Assalamualaikum everybody J I’m back again with a new post, okay, maybe I always posted about what I feel and what I’ve dreamed when I’m sleeping before, but now I want to try to post about my college, live experience and education. I’m sorry for the language because I’m not a linguists or perfect human, so if I have a mistake when typing the words or mistakes on my English grammar, I really sorry.

For this time, I want to give you some tips about writing a personal reflection, actually these tips is from my Linguistic lecturer ma’am Helena Rijoly, she is my favorite lecturer haha, and I want to tell you how to write a personal reflection with an academic writing that I learn from ma’am Helena, because this is very important for your life =D.

Before you write your personal reflection, you have to make sure that you’ve attended at your class for learn. For understand or not, it is later. After the class done, you have to remember what material that you understood or not understood and write on a small note. After that, trying to find out the material that you don’t understood. Next, typing time J
First, you have to write your name, student numbers, topic and date on the right top or left top of the paper. For example like :


Second, you have to write about the general term of your topic, (you can look at the picture above)

Third, divide the sub term into four parts, there are:
1.  - what you have learned and understand in the topic
you can write the material that your lecturer gave. But remember, you don’t have to write all the terms, it is only the things that you understand about the topic.
For example :

Make sure that you write it with your own words J
2.    What you have not understand in the topic
In this part, you can only write the things that you cannot or do not understand from the topic.
For example :

You don’t have to be afraid or shy to say that you’re not understand, your lecturer will understand your feeling, like my lecturer =D
3.    What have I done for further comprehension and the things that I don’t understand in the topic
You can add the additional material that you got from another source, but if its to long, you can put on the last of the paperJ. and make sure that all the things that you search for the misunderstand of the topic is exist in this part.

4.    The interesting of the topic
Of course it’s all about the things that you interested in the topic.
For example:

Fourth, after typing, you have to pay attention on the font, font size, line and paragraph setting and also align. Make sure that you use the same font from the top to the bottom of your written. You don’t have to use a big font size or small font size. For the line and paragraph setting, you can use 1.15 or 1.5 J the last is align. You don’t have to use the center and right align, it is going to be weird -_-, you can only use the left and justify align.

The last point that you should watch is Reference. You must add the reference at the last of the paper. The reference can be the source that you use during find out the additional material. For example :
